About Brown Trout Delight

Posted by on Mar 13 2007 |

Brown Trout Delight is about putting on your waders and getting your fishing gear ready as the sun comes up.

It’s about lime colored lines shooting across sparkling water.

It’s about wild new streamer patterns with neon yellow rubber legs and olive bunny fur.

It’s about 2X, 3X, 4X tippets and broken tippets.

It’s about blizzards of caddis flies in May, monster salmon flies in late June, delicate blue winged olives in spring and fall.

It’s about drifting down sexy neon ribbons studded with river stones and trout rings.

It’s about Royal Wulffs, Stimulators, Prince Nymphs, Bitch Creeks, Elk Hair Caddis, Bad Boys, Humpies, and size 16 Flashback Hare’s Ears.

It’s about tubes of yellow ochre, raw umber, cadmium red, titanium white, ultramarine blue, chromium oxide green paints, size 4, 2, and 1 round and flat brushes, drawing pencils and pens.

It’s about visions, rainbows, rainbow bars, rainbow trout, and Montana pickup dust.

It’s about passion, gold paint, leaping, and the yellow colored river warrior, the Brown Trout.
